Arrive in Accra, the vibrant heartbeat of Ghana, where the rhythms of history, culture, and modern energy blend seamlessly. Receive a warm Akwaaba (welcome) as you step onto the land, embraced by the hospitality that Ghana is known for. After a transfer to your hotel, you will check in and relax. In the evening, gather with fellow travelers for a welcome dinner, indulging in authentic Ghanaian cuisine and starting an unforgettable journey through the soul of West Africa.

Day 3: Accra - Culture, History and Spirituality
Explore Accra’s rich history with visits to the National Museum of History and Ethnography and a traditional casket-making shop. Walk through Old Accra, where colonial architecture meets vibrant local life, and see landmarks like James Fort, Ussher Fort, and the Old Lighthouse. Pay tribute to Ghana’s first president at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park before browsing the Arts and Crafts Market for unique souvenirs. Day 5: Kumasi - Exploring the Ashanti Kingdom and Craft Villages
Visit the Manhyia Palace and Museum, home to the Ashanti King, and learn about this powerful empire’s legacy. Discover Kumasi’s artistic heart at the National Cultural Centre, Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, and Okomfo Anokye Sword. Experience the energy of Kumasi Central Market, one of the largest in West Africa. In the afternoon, visit Ahwiaa Woodcarvers’ Village, and the Ntonso Adinkra Village, where you can create your own Adinkra design, and Adanwomase, renowned for its traditional Kente weaving.

Day 7: Rebirth and Community Engagement - Naming Ceremony and School Visit

Visit the Elmina fishing harbor, boat-building yard, and a fish-smoking center, where local traditions continue. Later, you engage with school children at a nearby community school.

Day 8: Cape Coast and Elmina Castles - A Journey Through the Slave Dungeons
(All White Attire Recommended) Visit Cape Coast Castle, a former slave fortress where captives were held before being forced onto ships. Walk through the Door of No Return and participate in a flute dirge ceremony in memory of the ancestors. Continue to Elmina Castle, the oldest European structure in sub-Saharan Africa, and witness the slave dungeons and condemned cells where those who resisted were held. Reflect on the past before returning to your hotel.
